My recommendation for a Mac App that frees up memory-- Memory Tamer!

I used various memory optimizing/memory freeing programs.

And the best one and the one that i recommend is memory tamer--

very easy to use-- Just set it and forget it!

The system requirements are:

Intel based 64 bit Mac

Mac OSX 10.9 Mavericks and up.

For me-- I have 16GB RAM in my Mac and

under the Freeing option:

i set the free memory thresold called "Thresold in MB" to 2048MB

and "TRIM memory threshold in MB" to 4204MB.

Free Memory is deeper memory cleaning/freeing

and Trim memory is a quick memory cleaning and freeing.

I set the freeing method to : memory pressure

and free memory pressure to:warn.

So with this the program auto cleans and auto frees up memory.

It cleans and trims memory without slow downs!

You can also manually trim or free memory by clicking on the option in the menubar.

It costs $2.49 for memory tamer and allows for installation on up to 3 Macs.

It is definitely worth the price.
