Pengen main GTA IV, Resident Evil 5, DiRT 3 dan game lainnya yang menggunakan Games For Windows Live (GFWL) di Windows 8.1 64 bit dengan harapan framerate naik drastis dibandingkan Windows 7. Tapi sialnya launcher untuk menjalankan game tersebut malah gak bisa di buka sama sekali di Windows 8.1
Pengen Install ulang ke Windows 7 biar bisa main game yang pake GFWL tapi sayangnya udah banyak program dan game yang terinstall.
Tenang dulu, agan gak perlu kembali install Windows 7 cuma karena game yang pengen agan mainkan pake GFWL gak bisa jalan, karena ane punya solusinya nih. Agan bisa ikuti langkah-langkah yang akan ane berikan tapi dengan catatan jangan sampai ada langkah yang terlewati.
Oke, kita mulai dari awal dulu
1. Pertama Uninstall “Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE Redistributable” dan “Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace”
2. Restart PC
3. Download Installer Games for Windows Live (GFWL) di sini
*Perlu diingat, agan wajib mendownload GFWL diatas, karena jika menggunakan GFWL bawaan dari installer game tidak akan bekerja, karena saya sudah mencobanya berkali-kali :p
4. Sebelum menjalankan installer GFWL, klik kanan pada installer GFWL yang telah didownload tadi, pilih Properties
5. Pada tab "Compatibility" centang pada "Run this program in compatibility mode for" Pilih Windows 7. Apply dan OK
6. Jalankan installer GFWL tadi dengan mode Administrator, caranya klik kanan pada installer GFWL pilih "Run as administrator"
7. Setelah GFWL terinstall, jalankan game yang pake GFWL tadi, dan seharusnya game itu udah bisa jalan, jika tetap gak bisa mungkin ada langkah-langkah yang terlewati.
*Catatan : Saat menginstall GFWL internet harus dihidupkan

Malam ini ane mau berbagi trik tentang cara mengatasi Login is Currently Unavailable Pada Origin.
Bagi yang belum tau, origin adalah sebuah software online gaming dan distribusi game digital yang dikembangkan oleh Electronic Arts atau biasa disebut dengan EA. Origin ini bisa dibilang mirip steam yang juga digunakan sebagai launcher game, akan tetapi Steam sendiri adalah milik Valve sedangkan Origin milik EA.
Oke.. Tanpa panjang lebar, ane akan jelaskan bagaimana cara mengatasi masalah di origin seperti pada gambar ini.
Cara mengatasi Origin tidak bisa login pada Windows
Cara 1 - Matikan Proxy Server
1. Buka Control Panel > Network and Internet > Internet Options.
2. Pada tab "Connections" klik Lan Settings.
3. Hilangkan Centang pada Proxy Server.
4. Setelah itu tutup Origin dan jalankan kembali.
Cara 2 - Setting DNS
1. Buka Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
2. Klik Change adapter settings.
3. Klik 2x pada koneksi internet yang sedang aktif lalu klik Properties.
4. Cari Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) lalu klik Properties
5. Klik "Use the following DNS server addresses"
isikan seperti dibawah ini
Preferred DNS server : 8.8.8.8 atau bisa menggunakan 208.67.222.222
Alternate DNS server : 8.8.4.4 atau bisa menggunakan 208.67.220.220
Cara 3 - Jika Menggunakan Wi-Fi sebagai koneksi internet
- Matikan Metered Connection
1. Buka menu "Settings" pada start menu.
2. Klik Network & Internet. Klik Wi-Fi
3. Setelah itu akan terlihat koneksi Wi-Fi yang sedang aktif. Klik Advanced options. Geser Slider "Set as metered connection" ke kiri (Off)
Cara diatas hanya untuk Windows 10, sementara Pada Windows 8/8.1 letak setingan Metered Connection sedikit berbeda.
Pada Windows 8/8.1
1. Buka Settings > Change PC Settings > Network > Connections
2. Klik pada koneksi internet yang sedang aktif
3. Atur "Set as Metered Connection" menjadi off
Cara 4 - Matikan VPN
1. Buka menu "Settings" pada start menu.
2. Klik Network & Internet. Klik VPN
3. Matikan "Allow VPN connections over Metered networks" dan "Allow VPN to connect while Roaming"
*NB : Untuk cara ke-3 Hanya berlaku untuk Sistem Operasi Windows 10, 8/8.1 dan cara ke-4 hanya untuk Windows 10.
Itulah trik untuk mengatasi origin yang tidak bisa login dari ane, selamat mencoba :)

A Security measure to protect your data and your computer-- Back up your computer!
Always backup your computer because in the case of mishaps or accidents you will have a copy of your data intact and you won't be at a loss.
I recommend cloning your Windows PC.
In an earlier post I recommended Drive Clone 11 by Farstone Technology, Inc. Well, they updated the program and it is now at version 11.10 and supports Windows 10.
It is free for personal use.
Backing up data is basically copying your data on your computer to a destination drive such as an external hard drive or SSD or usb flash drive.
You can manually drag and drop the files into your destination drive or save files to the cloud or use backup software built into Windows 10, such as Windows Backup- just search for it and it is in the Control Panel and run it.
But I find Cloning is the best method of backing up.
Cloning your PC is like backing up -- the cloning software will make an exact bootable copy of your hard drive boot disk onto the destination drive, so if your hard drive fails, you have a bootable copy on another drive and can use that cloned drive to continue working.
Drive Clone 11.10 is a good program for migrating your cloned PC hard drive to an SSD. It will defrag while cloning!
I recommended it to my relatives, friends and clients. I personally used this on clients' PCs.

Windows 7 and 8 users who are upgrading to Windows 10-- if you don't want to wait for the upgrade to roll out and it is taking forever--
I was already reserved for the Windows 10 upgrade but i waited for 3 weeks and it still wasn't ready so I did this:
Here's how to download and upgrade to Windows 10 with ease:
i went here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO
and downloaded the Windows 10 ISO file from Microsoft.
When the ISO file finish downloading run it and select upgrade to Windows 10.
for me, the upgrade process about an hour.
And that's it! It is that simple!
Afterwards, with Windows 10 fully installed it ran pretty well and I like it better than Windows 8.1.
Windows 10 N is for Europe. Windows 10KN is for Korea. Everyone else select just Windows 10.
then select your language and either 32bit or 64bit depending on your CPU.
Most people should download the 64 bit version if you have an i3,i5,i7 Intel CPU-- they are 64 bit
NOTE: Microsoft won't provide users who are upgrading to Windows 10 Product Keys; You will only get a Product Key if you buy a copy of Windows 10. We will get what is called Windows 10 Entitlement-- and Microsoft's servers will know that we are legal owners by a snapshot of our system.
But I am sure we can find the Windows 10 Product Key after we upgraded to Windows 10 by using a program like: Belarc Advisor.
