I bought the Humble Transformers Bundle 2 (a digital comic book/graphic novel bundle) from

Humble Bundle recently and was looking for a good comic book reader for the Mac.

There were several choices, such as: Comicbook Lover, FFView, YACReader and Simple Comic--

Simple Comic comes out on top! It is the most simple, zen-like, full featured, Mac like program out

of the bunch!

It is designed specifically for reading digital comics and does that job wonderfully!

I love setting the page layout to 2 page display and have to orientation from left to right,

And I love the fact that I can use the page capture feature and capture the artwork in the comic book 

for desktop pictures for Mac OS X!

You can scale the Simple Comic 1.7 screen to how big you set your window or do original scaling or 

horizontal scaling or go full screen!

It can also set a comic book page as the icon. and it saves the spot where you last left off reading!

Other features include page rotation, manual zoom and loupe magnify glass to magnify your comics!

Also Simple Comic has dictation! It uses MacOSX's dictation feature and can read to you!

And it can do thumbnails of the pages in the comic book!

It supports PDF, CBZ and EPUB formats!

Simple Comic 1.7 is super stable and a joy to work with.

Simple Comic is free and open source but I suggest you donate some money to the developer 

to support good quality Mac software and as a way to say thank you for the hard work

the developer put into developing Simple Comic.
